FreeWebTown : Best Around

April 6, 2007

Free Web Hosting:

If you looking for ad-free hosting, I would highly recommend http://www.freewebtown.com/. I use it for all of my websites. I’ve tried Tripod, 50megs, and Freewebs.com. The amount of advertising on these websites was overwhelming. If you’re looking for reliable hosting that has no advertisements or pop-ups, freewebtown takes the gold medal. With 100 MB of hosting and 1G of bandwidth, it’s plenty for you’re non commercial needs. If you looking to make huge amounts of money on the internet, you will need to fork over some bucks. As they say, “It takes money to make money.” You can make a few extra bucks online with a free website. Freewebtown has updated their user interface to be more user friendly for those who aren’t into all the complicated html mumbo jumbo. Use their file manager to upload the files you will make in an html editor.

Doteasy.com: Does The Trick

March 25, 2007

Doteasy.com is great resource for the beginner that wants an inexpensive website thats easy to build and maintain. Just add text and images and presto! It literally minutes you have a functional and professional website. The cost is $25 for a year long domain with hosting and access to a free website builder. Doteasy does place their small logo at the bottom of each page. I’ve personally used Doteasy.com and I highly reccomend it.

Freewebs.com : Promotes Premium

March 25, 2007

Freewebs.com has undoubtedly changed over the years. The amount of advertising place on a free members website is rapidly increasing. A “FreeBar” is used to show that this is a free website, thus reducing the professionalism of a free members website. Forced Google Adwords in the header, and a “Made With Freewebs.com” link at the bottom of every page. I must give credit to Freewebs as they have a very simple and easy to understand user interface with a variety of professional web page templates. However, more and more extras are being added that are for premium users only. I am a free member at freewebs and I’m fed up with the amount of advertising, and how it’s constantly increasing. Premium Membership are very reasonable, under $50 a year. The additional features such as Password Protection and Photo Sideshows cost slightly extra. If you looking for an easy to build free website, but don’t mind the advertisements, Freewebs is a great way to go. They include free online support chat, even for free members! If you are willing to pay for a Freewebs Premium account, you will be very pleased.
